3 years in a row now we have ventured out to Globe and back from Gilbert. It is a 140-ish mile ride. We have been doing this in prep for our longer LOTOJA race, and other rides. We love it! Many of us feel like it is our favorite training ride of the year.

In the past few years e have done this ride self supported and will likely do it that way again as there are plenty of gas stations along the way. For now plan on self supporting.

Wheels down at 3am from the Bashas parking lot on Elliot and Higley in Gilbert AZ, Lakeview Village, 99 S Higley Rd, Gilbert, AZ 85296.

The traffic and construciton has neever been bad (in spite of what others have always warned us of). In fact, it has been quite nice. It gets hot on the way home. Be prepared. The climbing is pretty decent, and the views are more stunning than you would usually even believe. It is truly a beuatiful and epic ride!

All are welcome! We may split up into an A and B group if need be. The fitness gains from a ride like this are amazing. If you are on one of the LOTOJA teams this year then I really encourage you to make this training ride. It is one of the best “dry runs” of Lotoja out there with very similar elevation gain, and terrain.

THIS IS NOT AN EVENT. It is a self supported group ride. The more the merrier. Come see a part of the state that is most beautiful on your bicycle rather than a car.
